Located near the end of the world, far away from anywhere you have even heard of, you will find the hidden divers paradise of the Solomon Islands.

The Solomon Islands are considered among the PREMIER dive destinations in the world. This is a once in a lifetime trip that you will fondly remember forever.

This trip is only offered to those with a minimum of 40 dives and hold a certification of Advanced Open Water or higher.

Our 7 night Florida and Russell Islands itinerary liveaboard diving itinerary affords some of the very best biodiversity and marine life found in the Solomon Islands. Dramatic walls, swim-throughs and caverns, and plenty of pelagic action are just some of the stunning attractions the island groups have to offer. You can also take a step back in time and explore a few WWII wrecks including Japanese and American planes and battle sites, or hunt in the muck for weird and wonderful creatures amongst the detritus left behind by departing troops.

On the liveaboard, you will be offered up to 4 dives per day, and includes all meals, water, coffee, tea and juices.  

NITROX is available for purchase on board for $ 150 per person for the week.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO ARRANGE AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS ( ROUND TRIP ) TO REACH THE LIVEABOARD DEPARTING ON JUNE 21 2026 AND RETURNING JUNE 28.

Most of the flights to the Solomon Islands will depart from Brisbane Austrailia, so you may want to extend your trip to explore Australia.

Prior to the liveaboard, those following the group recommended itinerary will spend 1 night (Sat June 20th ) in the capital city of the Solomon Islands, Honiaria. On Sunday June 21 we will explore the land based attractions of the island of Guadalcanal ( famous for WWII battles).

Casi and Don will be staying at Coral Sea Resort & Casino which has many pools, restaurants, and is located on the waterfront and close to the airport. There are many hotels in Honiara to choose from that are all nearby.

Wed June 17 we depart from Madison via Chicago and arriving in Los Angeles that afternoon.

We then fly on Qantas Airlines from LAX to Brisbane Australia arriving at 5am on FRIDAY June 19th.

We will have a nearby hotel room for that Friday June 19th ready for early arrival so you can rest all day.

Brisbane is a popular tourist destination, so there will be lots of activities you can find that day.

The next day, Saturday June 20th, we fly from Brisbane at 9am to Honiara via Solomon Airlines, arriving at 1:20pm. After checking in to the Coral Sea Resort, we will have an optional land based tour you can participate in.

FOR THOSE FOLLOWING THE TRAVEL PLANS OF CASI AND DON.......

We arrive at the Coral Sea Resort in Honiara on the Island of Guadalcanal on Saturday June 20th, after our flight from Brisbane Australia earlier that morning.

On Saturday afternoon, you can choose to relax at the pool or explore the town.

On Sunday, June 21st, we will have an optional tour of WWII battle sites and memorials. Estimated cost to be about $ 119 per person.

Finally, we depart our hotel and join the transfers to the marina where we will board the Master Solomon liveaboard at 6pm. We will be assigned our rooms, eat dinner and prepare for the next week of diving.

- Embarkation is at the main port in Honiara at 18:00

- Pick up and transfer from hotels in Honiara is between 17:00 and 17:30

- Embarkation is followed by introductions, boat and safety briefings and dinner.

- Overnight cruising to the Florida or Russell Islands

Days 2-6

Typically spend 3 days diving various sites around the Florida Islands, and 2 days in the Russell Islands.

Your Cruise Director will schedule up to 4 dives per day; 3 day dives and either a sunset or a night dive. On certain days, a village visit or land-based excursion may be offered instead of one or both afternoon dives.

A typical day is scheduled as follows:

- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and dive 1

- Full Breakfast and relaxation period

- Briefing and dive 2

- Lunch and relaxation period

- Briefing and dive 3*

- Snacks and relaxation

- Land Tour or Late Afternoon Dive**

- Cocktails and Dinner

- Cruise overnight to the next location

*On days where island visits are arranged, dives 3 and / or 4 may not be offered

**A night dive may be offered on selected days but is not guaranteed

Day 7

For your last full day on board, we schedule 2 morning dives* before the boat commences the cruise back to Honiara port where she will remain at anchor overnight.

- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and dive 1

- Full Breakfast, relaxation followed by briefing and dive 2

- Lunch and relaxation

- Afternoon village visit

- Cocktails and Dinner

- Cruise back to Honiara

*We kindly request that guests check their flight departure times to ensure they leave a minimum of 24 hours between their final dive and their flight home.

Day 8 - Disembarkation

Breakfast on board followed by disembarkation no later than 09:00 and transfer to Honiara Airport, or your hotel.

We will depart the liveaboard on Sunday June 28th in the morning.

Fly from Honiara to Brisbane Australia via Solomon Airlines departing Sunday June 28 at 11:20am arriving in Brisbane at 1;35pm that same day.

We next fly that same day ( Sunday June 28th) on Qantas Airlines departing Brisbane at 8:05pm to LAX.

We arrive at LAX on Sunday June 28th at 4:4pm the same day - Sunday June 28th.

We will be staying overnight in LA on Sunday June 28th.

On Monday June 29th, we fly at 7am from ORD to MSN arriving at 3:25pm - finally back home!!!

Solomon Islands trip

On this trip, all travelers will be responsible for making their own airfare and lodging arrangements, other

than the time spent on the liveaboard June 21 - 28 2026.

You must be ready to board the liveaboard at 6pm on Sunday June 21, 2026 or you may be left behind.

We suggest that you plan to arrive in Honiara ( Solomon Island capital city ) the day before ( Saturday

June 20 ). The liveaboard will require you to leave at 8am on Sunday June 28th. The crew will be

providing transportation from area hotels to the liveaboard on Sunday June 21 and rides to the airport on

Sunday June 28th.

Wed June 17 2026 - Getting to Los Angeles and Brisbane Australia.

Fly United Airlines from Madison ( MSN ) to Los Angeles (LAX )

Departing Madison at 11:49am on flight UA5383. Connection in ORD, then flying UA374 from

ORD to LAX arriving at 4:28pm. Give yourself time to get from domestic to international

terminals - this takes about an hour.

Qantas Airlines Flight QF16 departs LAX at 9:10pm flying non stop to Brisbane Australia (BNE)

arriving at 5am on FRIDAY JUNE 19TH. You may want to get a nearby hotel room for

Thursday night June 18th since you come in so early and for Friday night June 19th. Explore

Brisbane for the day. Lots of things to do and see for this day to occupy yourself.

Saturday June 20th - getting to Honiara Solomon Islands.

Fly Solomon Airlines flight IE701 from Brisbane ( BNE ) to Honiara ( HIR ) departing 9am

arriving at 1:20pm that same day. The airport is about 6 miles from Honiara where you will

stay that night. We will be staying at the Coral Sea Resort & Casino in Honiara.

Sunday June 21

5:30pm

- We will have an optional WWII tour that day for $ 119 per person that you

can attend. The liveaboard will visit area hotels to provide transportation to the boat from 5:00 -

Sunday June 28th - Going home.

The crew will drive you back to the airport for the flight back to Brisbane.

Solomon Airlines flight IE706 departing 11:20am and arriving 1:35pm in Brisbane.

Qantas QF15 departs Brisbane ( BNE ) at 8:05pm nonstop arriving ( LAX ) at 4:40 pm THAT

SAME DAY - SUNDAY JUNE 28. Don and Casi will be staying overnight in Los Angeles.

Monday June 29 at 7am flying UA1941 via Chicago arriving in Madison at 3:25pm that same

day.
