Dive Shipwrecks in Lake Superior Labor Day Weekend 2026

MORNING DIVE OPTION OR AFTERNOON DIVE OPTION

Join Breezeway Bubbles for a Labor Day weekend tradition of diving in beautiful Munising MI. You will diving on a custom dive boat with Shipwreck Tours visiting 2 wrecks on Saturday morning and 2 wrecks on Sunday morning.

PADI Shipwreck Instructor Beth Bizot will be hosting this event for the 5th time for us.

Some of the shipwrecks are from the civil war era and are in great shape thanks to the preservation efforts of the marine sanctuary waters we dive in. While the water is cold in Lake Superior, this time of year is the warmest time to experience these dives with temps ranging from 70 degrees down to upper 50 degrees at the coldest point. You will be outfitted with well fitting 7mm wetsuits, hoods, etc to keep you warm.

Munising MI is home to the world famous Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore - you must see this beautiful park in person to appreciate the unique cliffs and bluffs along Lake Superior. Bring along your hiking boots or mountain bike for adventure in this area.

$ 375 per person includes 2 days of 2 tank dives ( 4 dives total ) and includes 4 air tanks, weight, and full equipment rental ( BCD, Regulator, 7mm wetsuit, hood, gloves, etc ).

All dives are within recreational depth limits, so open water divers are qualified to dive both days. You will be able to complete the PADI Shipwreck Diver Specialty on this trip for an additional $ 200 if you are AOW certified.

Beth will be staying at Scotty's Motel https://www.scottysmotelup.com/ Friday and Saturday night and will host a bonfire on Saturday night. You can book a room there on your own. The Basic Nostalgic room has 2 beds and will run you about $ 150 per night plus 12% tax. It's not fancy, but a decent place with good rates and is close enough to walk into town for nightlife, food, etc.
